Kent County Access Ltd were honoured to be awarded and entrusted with the contract of scaffolding the south transept and Norman tower of Kents most prestigious building, Canterbury Cathedral. A great amount of care and planning was required when erecting the scaffold due to the ageing, crumbling stonework and associated restrictions of working on a building of such significant historical value.
KCA worked closely alongside the cathedral works department every step of the way to ensure that every detail was covered, such as the need to bridge over the south Oculus window leaving it fully exposed and thus allowing the constant monitoring without restriction that this magnificent window requires.
